Professional engineers and engineering technologists need to be able to communicate complex technical details of products to various stakeholders and hence sketching, engineering drawings and computer aided drafting are essential skills. This unit introduces students to engineering drawing and the use of computer-aided drafting tools starting with hand sketching and progressing to engineering drawings.
